Tepper Faculty Member’s Research Honored at Conference

Dokyun Lee, assistant professor of business analytics at Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business was recognized at the 2017 International Conference in Information Systems for his research on “micro-giving.”

Micro-Giving: On the Use of Mobile Devices and Monetary Subsidies in Charitable Giving,” which Lee co-authored with Dongwon Lee of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Anand Gopal of the University of Maryland, was named Best Track Paper in IT, as well as Best Conference Paper.

The trio’s work studies mobile marketing, in particular the effects of push notification and its impact on small donations by individuals.
