The Pantophlet Lab aims to contribute to the field of vaccine immunology through the development of novel vaccine antigens and vaccination strategies. They probe how epitopes dictate antibody recognition and are investigating also how epitope modifications affect the elicitation of antibody responses of desired specificity. As an extension of this work, they are exploring how to engineer and formulate immunogens to elicit neutralizing antibodies to conserved sites on viruses such as HIV-1 and influenza.
